memorial day 2010: in appreciation

mondays are military mondays.  its a chance for the photo family to bless those who serve in the military and their families. for obvious reasons we join the rest of our country in honoring those who are serving and who have served in the military this weekend.

the above was from the memorial service for sgt federico borjas.   sgt borjas was a army reservist, who was killed in combat in afghanistan in 2008.  he was a san diego police swat officer and a marine before reenlisting in the army.  it was a powerful ceremony with members of the army, marines, sd police and swat, along with representatives from law enforcement agencies from around the state.
