harnessing the power of photography for good

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep

“There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world.”

God has put on my heart the desire for my photography to have an impact on the lives of others. That desire lead me to the Rock Photographers where we truly are blessed to be able to document the life of the Rock Church, to be able to view God’s work and capture those moments. With this desire I have been researching other ways that photographers are making an impact and would like to share with everyone the compassionate work of Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep.

I have the pleasure of celebrating my son Hayden’s 1 year birthday this upcoming Monday. As a daddy I have experienced my live being completly changed, I now know the experience of true joy. But there also is another aspect of pregnancy and birth. Some parents have to deal with sorrow instead of joy.

The mission of NILMDTS is to introduce remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby with the free gift of professional portraiture. We believe these images serve as an important step in the family’s healing process by honoring their child’s legacy.

What they provide at the family’s request is an affiliated volunteer photographer will come to the hospital or hospice location and conduct a sensitive portrait session. Parents are provided with a free CD of sensitively retouched  images that they can use to get prints made.

Dearest Baby, May you know our greatest blessing was having you.

Lets all keep our eyes open to areas in which we can use our talents and provide timeless images that will make an impact. This is my heart for the Rock Photographers ministry and I look forward to this group continuing to find ways to change the world!
